Duquesne 90, The Citadel 61

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- DeVario Hudson tied career highs with 20
points, 11 rebounds and five blocks to lead Duquesne to a 90-61 win
over The Citadel on Tuesday night.

Bryant McAllister added a game-high 22 points and tied a career
high with nine assists for Duquesne, which also got 11 points from
Jack Higgins and 10 from Chauncey Duke.

Hudson had 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting in the first half. He
played only 10 minutes in the second half, but had six of his
rebounds after halftime. He made eight of his first nine shots.

The Dukes (2-6) never trailed and went on a 20-4 run midway
through the first half to take a 32-15 lead.

The Bulldogs (6-5), who had won six of their last eight,
immediately responded with a 10-0 run, but Duquesne closed out the
half by scoring 16 of the final 22 points.

Donny McLendon had 17 points, J'Mel Everhart 12 and Dante Terry
10 for The Citadel, which shot just 33 percent from the field and
was outrebounded 46-31.

Also Tuesday, Duquesne said it has released sophomore forward
Ryan Lambert, a 6-foot-7 forward who averaged 6.4 points and 3.9
rebounds in seven games. The Germantown, Md., native sat out last
season after transferring from Western Kentucky.
