PITTSBURGH (AP) -- DeVario Hudson tied career highs with 20 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks to lead Duquesne to a 90-61 win over The Citadel on Tuesday night.

Bryant McAllister added a game-high 22 points and tied a career high with nine assists for Duquesne, which also got 11 points from Jack Higgins and 10 from Chauncey Duke.

Hudson had 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting in the first half. He played only 10 minutes in the second half, but had six of his rebounds after halftime. He made eight of his first nine shots.

The Dukes (2-6) never trailed and went on a 20-4 run midway through the first half to take a 32-15 lead.

The Bulldogs (6-5), who had won six of their last eight, immediately responded with a 10-0 run, but Duquesne closed out the half by scoring 16 of the final 22 points.

Donny McLendon had 17 points, J'Mel Everhart 12 and Dante Terry 10 for The Citadel, which shot just 33 percent from the field and was outrebounded 46-31.

Also Tuesday, Duquesne said it has released sophomore forward Ryan Lambert, a 6-foot-7 forward who averaged 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in seven games. The Germantown, Md., native sat out last season after transferring from Western Kentucky.
