OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Coric Riggs tied a career high with 23 points and Weber State ended a six-game losing streak with an 85-72 victory over Southern Utah Tuesday night.

Weber State's David Patten scored 12 points, and Dan Henry and Clint Burris added 11 and 10 points, respectively, off the bench.

Weber State (4-6) shot 76 percent from the field and built a 22-point lead in the first half.

SUU (1-9) had a 7-0 run to end the first half and a 14-6 run to start the second to cut the Wildcats' lead to 52-45 with 14:41 remaining.

WSU used a 14-3 run over the next five minutes to put the game away.

The Thunderbirds were led by Lubor Olsovsky with 17 points. Nate Janes scored 11 points and Justin Allen had 10 for the Thunderbirds.

For the first time in six games, the Wildcats shot better than 38 percent from the field. WSU finished with 61.2 percent shooting. SUU shot 46.4 percent.

Southern Utah's only win this season was 68-47 over Weber State in Cedar City on Nov. 29.
