WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Aaron Cook scored 23 points and
Kenny Adeleke added 20 points and 14 rebounds as Hartford held off
a late rally and beat Molloy 81-71 Wednesday night.
Hartford (5-4) led for most of the second half, but Molloy
pulled to within two with 2:28 left to play. The Hawks regained
control with a 9-1 run down the stretch.Molloy (2-8) never trailed in the first half after starting the
game with a 15-4 run over the first 5:30. The Lions forced 10
turnovers in the half by the Hawks, who rallied to pull within
37-36 at the break.Molloy took the lead for a few possessions midway through the
final period, but the Hawks reclaimed the advantage for good on a
3-pointer by Cook with 9:33 left to play.Todd Hampton and Glenn Martin scored 19 points apiece for
Molloy. Mark Pierre added 15 points and nine rebounds.
