Cincinnati 81, Dayton 63

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Devan Downey scored 21 points and James White
had 19 Thursday night to lead Cincinnati past Dayton 81-63 in the
third round of the Las Vegas Holiday Classic.

Downey was 7-of-13 from the field and 7-of-7 from the foul line.
White was 6-of-13 from the field and 6-of-6 from the foul line for
the Bearcats (8-2), who used a 22-5 run to end the game.

Also for Cincinnati, Cedric McGowan had 11 points and 6
rebounds. Eric Hicks and Armein Kirkland each scored 10.

Cincinnati earned a measure of revenge after losing Nov. 29 to
the Flyers 75-66 in Cincinnati.

Brian Roberts led the Flyers (8-4) with 21 points. He was 4-of-5
from 3-point range. Monty Scoot and James Cripe also had nine
points apiece for Dayton.

After the Bearcats led 49-41 with 16:48 left, the Flyers cut the
lead to 59-58 with 7:56 remaining. Cincinnati, however, closed the
game with its strong run.
