GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Jeremy Ingram, who became eligible to
play for East Carolina just two games ago, scored 25 points to lead
the Pirates to an 87-54 victory over Limestone on Wednesday.
Corey Rouse added 16 points for the Pirates (4-6), who snapped a
five-game losing streak. Shawn Poppie led the Saints (3-6) with 14
points.Ingram spent his first 1.5 years of college at Wake Forest, then
transferred to ECU in the spring. He made 7-of-10 shots from the
field, including 5-of-7 3s, for 23 first half points to pace the
Pirates to a 47-26 halftime lead.The Pirates shot 60 percent from the field, compared to just 37
percent for Limestone. But the Saints were better at the free throw
line, where they shot 67 percent, compared to 41 percent for East
Carolina.The Pirates took the advantage in points from turnovers, 21,
compared to 7 for the Saints.
