Pepperdine 87, CS Northridge 72

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) -- Mike Gerrity scored 20 points and Tashaan
Forehan-Kelly had 17 points and 10 rebounds Wednesday as Pepperdine
beat Cal State Northridge 87-72.

Jarrad Henry added 13 points for the Waves as the team won
back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Pepperdine (4-7) had a double-digit lead for most of the second
half, getting a boost from 9-of-16 shooting from beyond the 3-point

The Waves built their biggest advantage, a 16-point lead, when
Forehan-Kelly sank two free throws with 1:44 remaining.

Thomas Shewmake had a career-high 22 points, Calvin Chitwood
scored 17 and Mike Efevberha added 16 for Cal State Northridge.

The Matadors (5-4) hit 23 of 31 free throws but connected on
only five 3-pointers on 21 attempts.
