DALLAS (AP) -- Devon Pearson led a balanced scoring attack with
15 points and SMU rode a hot-shooting first half to a 76-55 victory
against Harvard on Wednesday night.
The Mustangs (6-4) shot 65 percent in the first half and jumped
out to a 40-9 lead. Pearson was one of four players in double
figures, and two others had eight apiece. Pearson led SMU with nine
rebounds.Harvard (8-5) shot 25 percent (6-of-24) in the first half and 30
percent for the game. Jim Goffredo led the Crimson with 12 points
but was 3-of-15 from the field.Bryan Hopkins had 13 points and four assists for SMU, while
Derrick Roberts and Brian Morris scored 10 apiece. Roberts had four
steals.The Mustangs were 7-of-11 from 3-point range in the first half.
