EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Donald Copeland paced a balanced scoring attack with 15 points and Kelly Whitney added 13 as Seton Hall cruised to a 93-46 victory over winless Morgan State Thursday night.

The victory was the sixth home win in seven nonconference games for the Pirates (7-3), who close out their non-Big East schedule Saturday at home against Iona. Morgan State dropped to 0-10.

The Pirates received career-high performances of 11 points each from Marcus Cousin and freshman David Palmer and had nine players with eight points or more.

Rogers Barnes had 16 points and Timothy Berkley had 13 to lead Morgan State.

The Pirates shot 53 percent (36 of 68) from the floor, their best performance of the season. The 47-point margin of victory was the largest in the five-year tenure of Seton Hall coach Louis Orr.

After Berkley hit a short jumper to give Morgan State a 2-0 lead, Seton Hall outscored the Bears 22-5 over the next 9 minutes. Jamar Nutter hit three long 3-pointers in that stretch. By halftime, the Pirates had opened a 52-19 lead.
