NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Isaiah Hunter had 13 points, including two free throws with 6 seconds left in the game, to seal Old Dominion's 58-55 win over Virginia Tech Friday night.

The Monarchs (8-4) led 19-25 going into the second half. A 3-point shot by Zabian Dowdell brought the Hokies (9-4) to within one at 56-55 with 6 seconds remaining. Virginia Tech quickly fouled, putting Hunter on the free-throw line.

Arnaud Dahi led the Monarchs with 15 points and nine rebounds. Alex Loughton had 12 points.

Dowdell and Jamon Gordon each had 18 for the Hokies, and Coleman Collins added 12.

The loss snapped the Hokies' four-game winning streak. The Monarchs approved to 5-0 at home and are off to their best start since 1995-96.
