VA Commonwealth 84, Hampton 44

HAMPTON, Va. (AP) -- B.A. Walker had 16 points and Virginia
Commonwealth held Hampton to 25 percent shooting as the Rams won
their sixth straight, 84-44, Friday night.

The Rams (8-2) had four players in double digits, and their
reserves outscored the Pirates' 45-19.

Nick George added 12 points, and Alexander Harper and Jamal
Shuler had 10 apiece.

Bruce Brown led Hampton (1-7) with 11 points and nine rebounds.

The Rams stole the ball 10 times, had nine blocked shots and
scored 22 off Hampton turnovers. VCU also outscored Hampton 16-0
off the fast break and sank 10-of-25 3-pointers.

VCU has won eight of its last nine.
