LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Terrence Todd scored 18 points, including the
game-winning layup with 4.2 seconds to lead Fairfield past Cal
State Northridge 66-65 on Friday.
The Matadors (5-5) had a chance to win the game in the closing
seconds, but Mike Efevberha dribbled into three Fairfield players
and had the ball knocked away as time expired. Efevberha had given
Northridge a 65-64 lead with his first field goal of the night,
coming with 18 seconds to play.
Fairfield (2-7) was led by DeWitt Maxwell who scored 13 points.
The win snapped the Stags' (2-7) three-game losing streak and
ended Northridge's seven-game home win streak.
