PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Ryan Sommer scored 18 points to lead Portland State to its fifth straight win, 81-48 over Idaho on Friday.

Jake Schroeder added 13 points for the Vikings (7-6), who were coming off an upset win over Oregon. Anthony Washington and Scott Morrison also reached double figures.

Tanoris Shepard led the Vandals (3-7) with 13 points.

Portland State hit seven of its first nine shots and opened the game on a 17-2 run.

Idaho fought back, closing the gap to 22-17 when David Dubois capped an 11-2 run with a put-back with 8:57 left in the half.

That was as good as it got for Idaho. Schroeder hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Portland State a 39-25 halftime lead, and the Vikings exploited their inside dominance in the second half.

Morrison converted an high-low entry pass for a three-point play to give the Vikings a 49-29 lead with 15:50 to play, and the rout was on.

Portland State shot 53 percent from the field and held Idaho to 27 percent.
