LAS VEGAS (AP) -- UNLV's Curtis Terry had a game-high 15 points and Jason Petrimoulx added 12 points to beat Southern Utah 67-53 on Saturday.

Southern Utah (1-11) outscored the Rebels by eight in the second half, riding a pair of 3-pointers from Henry Uhegwu in sparking a 20-9 run late to cut the deficit to 58-45 with 3:38 to play. But Terry hit a 3-pointer and the Rebels scored six of the next seven points to secure the win.

The Rebels (6-6) held an 47-21 rebounding edge, including a game-high seven from Petrimoulx. Wink Adams added 10 points for UNLV and Gaston Essengue had nine.

Uhegwu was the only Thunderbird in double figures with 11 points, while Fernando Bonfim and Esteban Bonzano each added eight.

Terry hit consecutive 3-pointers to open the game, helping UNLV score 14 of the game's first 16 points. The Rebels followed with a 13-5 run, using a 3-point play from Joe Darger and a pair of foul shots from Louis Amundson in extending their lead to 27-7 at the 11:42 mark.
