LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Larry Blair scored 38 points and Rell
Porter had 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead Liberty to a 83-80 win
over High Point on Tuesday night.
The Flames (4-8, 1-0 Big South Conference) led 37-33 going into
the second half. A tip-in by Issa Konare put the Panthers (7-4,
0-1) up 71-66 with 4:34 remaining in the game.Liberty answered back, tying the game 76-76 with 2:12 remaining
on a free-throw shot by Eric Bigby. Akeem Scott's layup with 37
seconds remaining put High Point ahead 80-79.A 3-pointer by Blair gave the Flames a 82-80 lead with 21
seconds remaining. Damien Hubbard then scored one of two free
throws with five seconds remaining.Konare led High Point with 25 points and 13 rebounds, Arizona
