FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) -- Jai Lewis had 22 points and 11 rebounds and George Mason's "Green Team" turned the game around in an 81-58 victory over William & Mary on Thursday night.

Tony Skinn scored 12 points and Lamar Butler added 10 for the Patriots (14-5, 8-2 Colonial Athletic Association), who shot 66 percent, the fifth best performance in school history. The Patriots also hit 9 of 18 3-point attempts and were perfect from the free throw line, connecting on all 14 attempts.

Calvin Baker paced William & Mary (5-13, 0-9) with 15 points. Corey Cofield added 10.

Trailing 16-9 with 13:10 remaining in the first half, Gorge Mason coach Jim Larranaga benched his entire starting lineup, replacing it with the "Green Team." The move paid off with a 13-4 run in which every George Mason player scored.

Nearly six minutes later, the five subs had given the Patriots a 22-20 lead.

With an energized starting five back on the court, the Patriots used a 16-8 spurt to take a 38-28 halftime lead.

William & Mary used a 13-6 run to cut the deficit to two at 44-42 early in the second half, but George Mason answered with a 27-10 run, keyed by 9 points from Lewis and five from Skinn. ^
