LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Jaycee Carroll scored 18 points and three other Utah State players scored in double figures in a 72-51 win over South Dakota State on Friday night.

David Pak had 14 points and seven assists for the Aggies (14-4). Nate Harris scored 15 and Cass Matheus finished with 10 points, six rebounds and three of Utah State's eight blocks.

Andre Gilbert led the Jackrabbits (5-14) with 12 points and Mohamed Berte added 11 points and 11 rebounds for South Dakota State.

Utah State held a double-digit lead from Carroll's 3-pointer 30 seconds into the second half. After trailing by as many of 23 early in the half, the Jackrabbits got to within 12 points with 6:50 remaining after Gilbert made a fast break dunk.

But five quick points from Carroll and inside play from Matheus and Harris kept South Dakota State from getting any closer.

USU shot 9-of-19 from behind the 3-point line in the game, four each from Pak and Carroll.

Matt Cadwell, the leading scorer for the Jackrabbits at 16.1 points per game, was held scoreless in the first half and finished with six points. He was 1-for-10 from the field shooting.

Utah State returns to Western Athletic Conference schedule Monday when the Aggies host Hawaii.
