The Spiders (11-8, 4-2 Atlantic 10) took their biggest lead at
59-49 with 1:11 remaining after a free throw by Kevin Steenberge.
They held on despite missing 4 of 6 free throws the rest of the
way, and hitting just 11 of 20 in the second half.
The Spiders used a 14-6 run midway through the first half to
take a 26-18 lead, and enjoyed a 32-26 edge at the half.
Steenberge added 12 points, five assists, three blocks and three
steals. Omar Sylla scored 10.
Charlotte coach Bobby Lutz was ejected with 4:25 left after
getting his second technical foul in a span of 15 seconds.
