Sacramento State 68, Portland State 65

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Clark Woods scored 16 to points to lead
Sacramento State to a 68-65 win over Portland State on Saturday
night.

The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Hornets (5-4,
14-9) and was the first victory for Sacramento State in Portland in
11 tries.

Haron Hargrave had 13 points for Sacramento State and DaShawn
Freeman added 12 points. Juma Kamara led Portland State (1-8, 8-14)
with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Anthony Washington added 13 points and Josh Neeley scored 10
points off the bench for the Vikings, who dropped their fifth
straight game.

With the score tied at 65-65, Alex Bausley connected on a short
jumper in the lane to give the Hornets a 67-65 lead with 1:20 left
in the game. With 16 seconds remaining, Kamara missed a 3-pointer
from the sideline that would have given PSU the lead.

Jason Harris iced the game for the Hornets with a free throw
with three seconds left to play.

Sacramento State shot 44 percent for the game. Portland State
connected on 42 percent, but their offense struggled late in the
game and scored only two points in the last 6:07 of the game.
