TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Florentino Valencia scored nine of his 11
points in the first half to help Toledo build a solid lead in a
60-44 win over Kent State on Tuesday.
Jonathan Amos added 10 points off the bench for the Rockets
(12-9, 5-8 Mid-American).
Toledo scored 23 points off turnovers and outscored the Golden
Flashes (16-7, 10-2) 32-14 in the paint.
The Rockets led 32-23 at the break. They shot 52 percent from
the field and held the Flashes to 38 percent.
DeAndre Haynes led Kent State with nine points.
The Rockets led by at least eight throughout the second half and
held a 21-point lead with 5:12 left.
