Western Kentucky 97, North Texas 71

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) -- Anthony Winchester scored 29 points
and Courtney Lee added 25 to lead Western Kentucky to a 97-71 Sun
Belt Conference rout over visiting North Texas Saturday night.

The victory extended the Hilltoppers winning streak to six games
and they have won 11 of their past 12 games.

Western Kentucky (18-5, 10-1) rolled to a 53-28 halftime lead
over the Mean Green (12-11, 5-7), and was never challenged. The
Hilltoppers forged ahead on the strength of 58 percent shooting
from the floor in the game (30-of-51), including 9-of-16 3-pointers
and 28-of-35 free throws.

Winchester made 10 of 13 shots in the game, including 4-of-5
from 3-point range and 5-of-6 free throws. Lee made 6-of-9 shots
from the floor (2-of-3 from 3-point range) and was a perfect
11-of-11 from the free throw line for the Hilltoppers.

Elgrace Wilborn added 11 points for the Hilltoppers, who had 12
players score in the game.

Kendrick Davis led North Texas with 15 points. Calvin Watson
