Niagara 88, Marist 82

LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Clif Brown had a double-double to lead
Niagara to an 88-82 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference win over
Marist on Saturday.

Brown had 26 points and 13 rebounds for Niagara (10-13, 7-8).

It was the fourth straight 20-point game for Brown after moving
into the starting lineup to replace Charron Fisher, who suffered a
season-ending knee injury.

Lorenzo Miles had 27 points and J.R. Duffey had 20 for the
Purple Eagles.

Jared Jordan led Marist (15-8, 9-6) with 31 points. Will
Whittington added 17.

Niagara led by 20 with 12:30 left, but Marist cut the lead to
four in the final minute.

Marist held Niagara without a field goal in the last 8:30, but
the Purple Eagles went 28-for-34 from the line in the second half
as Marist was forced to foul.
