ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Kevin Lisch scored a career-high 22 points as Saint Louis beat Temple 56-51 Saturday night.

Anthony Drejaj added 15 points for the Billikens (14-10, 8-4 Atlantic 10), who have won five of their last six games. The Billikens committed a season-high 23 turnovers and nearly let a 12-point second-half lead slip away.

The Billikens led by nine at 52-43 with 2:14 left after Lisch made one of two free throws. But Temple (14-10, 7-6) scored the next eight points, including a three-point play by Mark Tyndale with 1:10 left that cut the Saint Louis lead to 52-51.

Tommie Liddell scored off a rebound with 33 seconds left to give Saint Louis a 54-51 lead. Temple then had several chances to tie in the final 30 seconds before the Billikens gained control of the ball and Lisch put the game away with a breakaway basket.

Tyndale led all scorers with 23 points and Mardy Collins added 14 for the Owls, who dropped their fourth straight away from home.

Saint Louis made 6-of-9 3-point shots in the first half to build a 28-23 halftime lead. Meanwhile, Temple made just 1-of-7 from 3-point range.

The Billikens led by eight at 26-18 after Lisch hit a 3-pointer with 3:50 remaining in the half. But Dionte Christmas countered with a 3-pointer of his own, and Wayne Marshall scored inside with 1:00 remaining to make it 26-23.

Ian Vouyoukas, who leads the Billikens in scoring with a 13.6 average, made two free throws with 32.8 seconds left for his only two points of the half. Vouyoukas did not have a shot in the first half and finished with four points.
