WASHINGTON (AP) -- Eugene Myatt scored 22 points and Howard broke a 14-game losing streak with an 89-71 victory over Florida A&M on Monday.

Myatt hit 11 of 18 field goals for the Bison (3-20, 2-12 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who shot 53 percent for the game and went 10-for-22 from 3-point range. Darek Mitchell added 19, going 5-for-8 on 3-pointers.

Tony Tate scored 24 points on 9 of 19 shooting, including 4 of 9 from beyond the arc for the Rattlers (12-15, 8-7).

Howard used 65 percent shooting in the first half to roll up a 53-40 halftime lead, then put the game away by holding the Rattlers to 39 percent shooting in the second half, including 1-for-7 from 3-point range. ^
