Butler's season-high 27 spurs No. 25 George Mason

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) -- Lamar Butler had a season-high 27 points to
lead George Mason (No. 25 ESPN/USA Today; unranked AP) past James Madison on Saturday, 95-68.

Butler connected on seven 3-pointers as the Patriots (22-6, 15-3
Colonial Athletic Association) bounced back two days after having
their eight-game winning streak snapped at Hofstra.

Kyle Swanston had 17 points to pace the Dukes (5-22, 2-16 CAA)
in the regular season finale for both teams.

Will Thomas added 21 points and George Mason's other two
seniors, Jai Lewis and Tony Skinn, had 12 and 10 points,
respectively, as the Patriots built a 30-point lead in the second
half and cruised to their 11th win in 14 games against James

With the win, George Mason clinched at least a share of the
CAA's regular season championship, guaranteeing them either the top
seed or the second seed in next week's conference tournament.

The Dukes have lost their last five games and dropped 17 of 19
to end the regular season.
