WASHINGTON (AP) -- Eugene Myatt scored 19 points to lead Howard to a 72-59 victory over Morgan State on Monday and was named Rookie of the Week in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

Darryl Hudson added 16 for the Bison (5-20, 4-12 MEAC) in their third straight win. Hudson tallied 12 of his points in the first 20 minutes as Howard pushed to a 37-22 lead at the half.

Joseph McLean led the Bears (4-23, 4-12) with 22 points. Clinton Cunningham added 13, coming off the bench.

Myatt, a freshman, scored 10 of his points in the second half for Howard. He hit 5 of 9 shots, made all 7 free throws and added 7 rebounds.
