Rhode Island 69, Temple 63

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I (AP) -- Dawan Robinson had 19 points and
Will Daniels added 12 as Rhode Island broke a four-game losing
streak with a 69-63 win over Temple on Wednesday night.

Mardy Collins had 27 points for Temple (15-12, 8-7 Atlantic 10).

Robinson and Jamaal Wise scored eight of the last 11 Rhode
Island points as the Rams (13-13, 7-8) outscored Temple 11-5 in the
final two minutes of play. Jimmy Baron's three-pointer with two
minutes left broke a 58-58 tie and Rhode Island led the rest of the
way. Baron finished with 11 points.

Rhode Island built its first half lead to as much as 27-16 when
Robinson made a 3-pointer with 8:44 left, one of eight 3-pointers
for the Rams in the first half. Collins had 18 points in the first,
including a late 3-pointer, to pull Temple within 37-32 going into
the break.

Antywane Robinson also scored 14 points for the Owls.

Temple lost a chance to pull even with La Salle for the fourth
spot, and a first-round bye, in the March 8 Atlantic 10 conference
tournament. LaSalle lost to Fordham 83-74 Wednesday night.
