HONOLULU (AP) -- Paul Millsap had 20 points and 23 rebounds to
lead Louisiana Tech to a 51-48 win over Hawaii on Saturday in the
final regular season game for both teams.
Hawaii (17-10, 10-6 Western Athletic Conference) led 38-29 with
17:52 remaining in the game.
But then Louisiana Tech (19-11, 11-5 Western Athletic
Conference) went on an 18-4 run over the next 17 minutes.
The Rainbow Warriors did not make a field goal until Chris
Botez's putback with 43.7 seconds remaining.
Julian Sensley led Hawaii with 16 points and 10 rebounds. The
Rainbow Warriors played without the help of team-leading rebounder
Ahmet Gueye, who tore his right anterior cruciate ligament in
Hawaii shot 28.8 percent from the field for the game, including
just 3-for-23 in the second half.
The Bulldogs, who lead the WAC in rebounding margin,
outrebounded the Rainbow Warriors 47-37.
Tied at 19 with 6:03 remaining in the first half, Hawaii went on
