COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Kyle Koncz scored 19 points and Princeton
built a big lead with its withering defense to beat Alabama A&M
56-39 on Sunday to take fifth place in the BCA Classic at Ohio
State's Value City Arena.
Koncz hit 4-of-8 3-pointers -- matching A&M's total in 16
attempts -- and made all seven of his free throws. Justin Conway
added 11 points for the Tigers (2-1).Cornelius Hester and Evan Hilton each had 11 points for the
Bulldogs (1-2).The Tigers built a 32-15 halftime lead by limiting A&M to 30
percent shooting from the field (6 of 20). Koncz was 4-of-6 behind
the arc and had 15 points in the opening half.With Princeton ahead 17-13 and 5 minutes left in the half, Koncz
was fouled while shooting a 3 and made all three free throws to
start a 15-2 run until the break. He later added a 3-pointer in the
surge.The lead never dropped below 13 points in the second half.
