HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) -- Chris Wehye tied a career-high with 19
points while pulling down 12 rebounds as Quinnipiac defeated
Concordia, 92-77 Wednesday night.
Wehye hit on 8-of-12 from the floor, and Karl Anderson finished
with 15 points, hitting on 6-of-9 from the field, and 10 rebounds
as well as two blocks.
Concordia (0-1) led 29-17 over the final eight minutes led by
William Cherry and Richard Fields.
Cherry finished with a game-high 28 points, hitting on 9-of-12
from long range and 3-of-5 from three-point range. He also hit on
7-of-9 from the free throw line.
Fields totaled 19 points, hitting 6-of-13 from the floor and
4-of-9 from the outside.
Quinnipiac (1-1) broke a 14-14 tie at 13:39 in the first half.
