Binghamton 74, Niagara 66

LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Richard Forbes came off the bench to score
a game-high 24 points to lead visiting Binghamton to a 74-66
non-conference win over Niagara on Thursday.

Mike Gordon had 15 points, Troy Hailey had 12 points and Duane
James added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Bearcats (1-1). Clif
Brown led Niagara (0-1) with 19 points and 21 rebounds.

J.R. Duffey had 14 points and Tyrone Lewis added 12 points for
the Purple Eagles.

Niagara, which was without Charron Fisher, Stanley Hodge and
Kamau Gordon, who were all sitting out as a result of suspensions
stemming from a fight outside a Niagara Falls bar in August, shot
just 5-of-34 (14.7) from 3-point range.
