LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) -- Darris Nicholls scored 18 points to lead West Virginia to a 79-54 victory over Western Michigan in the Old Spice Classic at Disney World on Friday.
The Mountaineers (5-0) scored the first 16 points of the game for a 44-11 halftime advantage. The lead peaked at 43 points on a basket by Rob Summers with 13:18 remaining in the game.
West Virginia's Frank Young scored 13 points. Alex Ruoff and Wellington Smith scored 11 points each, and Summers added 10 for West Virginia, which will face Arkansas (4-0) in the championship game of the inaugural tournament Sunday.
Andrew Ricks had 10 points for Western Michigan (2-3), and Andrew Hershberger scored eight and grabbed five rebounds.
Western Michigan was hampered by 23 percent shooting before the break. The Broncos shot 52 percent in the second half, but their 28 turnovers in the contest led to 32 points for the Mountaineers.
