N. Carolina A&T 71, Longwood 59

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Glenn Nelson scored 14 points including
two 3-pointers down the stretch to lead North Carolina A&T to a
71-59 win over Longwood on Tuesday.

Jason Wills had 13 points and eight rebounds, Austin Ewing added
13 points and Greg Roberts finished with nine points for the Aggies
(2-4), who were without leading scorer Steven Rush.

Maurice Sumter led Longwood (3-4) with a game-high 19 points and
five rebounds, while Clayton Morgan finished with nine points and
10 rebounds.

The Aggies led 37-29 at the break and Ewing opened the second
half with a 3-pointer to make it 40-29. Brandon Giles' two free
throws put the Lancers within two points at 11:10 in the second,

Nelson knocked down a 3-pointer with 6:29 left and the Aggies
held on to a 58-53 lead before Ewing hit a three from the corner to
extended the gap.

Longwood cut the Aggies lead to five with 2:08 remaining, but
Nelson hit a 3-pointer with 1:52 left and sealed the win.
