    WACO, Texas (AP) -- Tweety Carter scored 19 points, while Aaron Bruce added 18 and Curtis Jerrells 17 to lead Baylor to a 95-69 win over Grambling State on Wednesday night.

    En route to a 55-39 halftime lead, the Bears (5-1) shot a torrid 73 percent in the first half, hitting 19-of-26 attempts.

    Baylor fared even better from 3-point range with a 12-of-16 first-half performance.

    The Bears finished the game with 13 3-pointers in 24 attempts.

    The Bears put together a 20-2 run early in the contest and took a 20-5 lead with just over 13 minutes remaining in the first half.

    The Tigers (1-3) never recovered, and Baylor maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way.

    Grambling outscored the Bears 8-5 to open the second half and cut the margin to 60-47 with 15 minutes to play. But Baylor reeled of six straight points, and the Tigers never challenged again.

    Andrew Prestley paced Grambling with 15 points, while Emmanuel Calloway contributed 12 and Anthony Williams and Kendric Baker had 10 each.
