CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) -- Chris Perkins scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds Wednesday to lead IPFW over Southeast Missouri State 84-65.
The Mastodons (3-4) jumped out to a 20-9 lead and held the advantage for most of the first half. Although Southeast Missouri (2-5) came within one after a
David Johnson 3-pointer with 8:49 left in the half, IPFW recovered to take a 43-34 lead into the break.
The Redhawks fell farther behind in the second half as the Mastodons controlled the boards, outrebounding Southeast Missouri 40-26 for the game.
Jaraun Burrows had 16 points and
Tyler Best added 15 for IPFW.
David Johnson led Southeast Missouri with 16 points and
Brandon Foust had 14.
