Cal St. Fullerton 76, Texas-San Antonio 67

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) -- Bobby Brown and Justin Burns each scored season-high 21 points to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 76-67 victory over Texas San-Antonio Saturday night.

Scott Cutley added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Titans (5-1), who are off to their best start since 1998, when they also won five of their first six games.

Kurt Attaway scored 21 points for the Roadrunners (3-5). Isaiah Allen added 17 points, Melvin Smith had 11 points and Keith Spencer grabbed 10 rebounds.

Brown's layin 15 seconds into the second half gave Fullerton a 37-23 lead. But Allen scored eight points during a 21-9 surge that narrowed Texas-San Antonio's deficit to 46-44 with 12:15 to play.

With Fullerton holding a 48-46 lead, Brown and Burns each scored four points to lead an 11-2 run that extended the Titans' advantage to 59-48 with 8:52 remaining.
