NEW YORK (AP) -- Ben Nwachukwu scored 12 of his game-high 20 points in the second half to help Columbia beat Wagner 70-44 on Tuesday night.
Wagner (2-6) had three leads in the first half of two points or less but after a 16-all tie, the Lions (6-3) scored 11 of the next 14 points to take a 27-19 halftime advantage.
Columbia began the second half with Nwachukwu hitting two inside baskets to start an 8-1 run and the Lions slowly pulled away, piling up a 20-point edge in the paint.
K.J. Matsui added 10 points for Columbia.
Joey Mundweiler led the Seahawks with nine points.
