EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Matt Webster scored 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Evansville to a 69-64 win over Valparaiso on Tuesday night.

Jason Holsinger added eight points and nine assists for the Aces (5-3).

Webster was 15-of-16 from the free-throw line and Evansville had 33 free throw attempts compared to Valparaiso's nine.

Brandon McPherson scored 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting for Valparaiso (3-5).

Evansville trailed 29-26 at halftime and shot just 30 percent in the first half. The Aces hit 19-of-24 free throws in the second half and went on an 11-6 run over the final 4:03 to secure the victory.

The Crusaders lost their fifth straight game despite shooting 25-of-49 (51 percent) from the floor and outrebounding the Aces 34-31.

Valparaiso had 24 turnovers, which Evansville turned into 31 points.
