SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Haron Hargrave hit a 3-point shot with
0.4 seconds left in overtime to give Sacramento State a 74-72
victory over Pacific on Wednesday night.
Hargrave had 18 points and Angel Alamo added 17 points and eight
rebounds for the Hornets (5-5), who stopped an 11-game losing
streak against the Tigers.Sacramento native C.J. Morgan had 24 points and Steffan Johnson
finished with 11 points and 10 assists for Pacific (3-5).After Roderick Adams hit one of two free throws to give the
Hornets a 63-60 lead with 9.7 seconds left, Morgan hit a deep
3-point shot from the corner with 3.4 ticks to go to send the game
into overtime.The Hornets claimed possession on a jump ball situation that put
Hargrave in position to hit the game-winning shot.Despite three straight 3-pointers by Johnson in the last 3:13 of
the first half, the Hornets held on to a 32-31 halftime lead after
squandering an eight-point margin.
