Fla. International 67, Troy 64

TROY, Ala. (AP) -- Alex Galindo's three-pointer with 1.7 seconds left capped a 7-0 run, broke a 64-64 tie and led Florida International to a 67-64 victory over Troy on Sunday.

The final play was a result of a second chance after Johwne Villegas rebounded a missed shot with 12 seconds remaining.

Galindo led all scorers with 20 points, while adding 10 rebounds.

Elvis Lora and Dejon Prejean also had double figures for the Golden Panthers (5-5, 1-0) with 17 and 13 points, respectively. FIU led at halftime, 30-26.

The Trojans (5-7, 0-2) were led by O'Darien Bassett and Justin Jonus with 14 points apiece, while Richard Chaney recorded his third career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
