EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Matt Webster scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Evansville to a 78-57 win over Drake on Thursday.

Kyle Anslinger added 17 points as the Purple Aces (9-4, 2-0 Missouri Valley Conference) won their seventh consecutive home game.

Klayton Korver led Drake (9-3, 0-1) with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting as the Bulldogs had their eight-game winning streak snapped.

Evansville led 36-31 at halftime and never trailed in the second half.

Webster scored 14 of his points in the second half and had 10 points during a 23-10 Evansville run over the final 9:15. The Aces took a 24-point lead on a free throw from Anslinger with 3:14 remaining.

In the second half, Evansville shot 13-of-19 (68 percent) from the floor and held the Bulldogs to 8-of-33 (24 percent) shooting.

Drake's Ajay Calvin, the Missouri Valley's leading scorer at 19.1 points a game, was held to seven points.
