HANOVER, N.H. (AP) -- Leon Pattman scored a game-high 23 points to help Dartmouth hold off Army on Tuesday, 66-58.
John Ball and DeVon Mosley added 12 points each as Dartmouth (5-7) won its fifth game in six starts after opening the season 0-6. Matt Bell led Army (10-5) with 19 points while Jarell Brown had 17 points and nine rebounds.
In the first half, Pattman scored 10 points, Alex Barnett had seven and Dartmouth made four of its first five 3-point shots while racing out to a 20-5 lead. Army held Dartmouth without a field goal for more than eight minutes to finish the first half on a 14-3 run and pull within 27-23 at the break.
In the second half, Dartmouth was ahead just 47-45 when Pattman made a pair of free throws and a 3-pointer to trigger a 10-0 run that made it 57-45 with 3:13 left. Barnett, who led both teams with 10 rebounds, capped the spurt with a two-handed dunk on the right baseline.
Army hit three 3-pointers in the final 2:06 but didn't get closer than seven points the rest of the way.
