Siena 78, Canisius 60

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Michael Haddix scored 26 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead Siena in a 78-60 win over Canisius Wednesday night.

Leading 34-32 early in the second half, Siena (7-5, 3-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) took command of the game with an 11-0 run.

Ronald Moore and David Ryan capped the run with back-to-back 3-pointers, Ryan's bringing the lead to 45-32.

The Saints held onto the double digit lead the rest of the way, shooting 56.3 percent from the field in the second half.

Playing without leading scorer Chuck Harris, Canisius (5-8, 0-3 MAAC) shot just 36.8 percent from the field.

Harris, a senior who has started every game since his freshman year, will be sidelined for at least a week with a knee injury.

Kenny Hasbrouck scored 15 points for Siena. Alex Franklin added 10.

Pawel Malesa led the Golden Griffins with 20 points.
