HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Joe Zeglinski scored 22 points to lead Hartford to an 80-75 double overtime victory over Boston University on Saturday, snapping a nine-game losing streak to the Terriers.
Jaret Von Rosenberg scored 20 points for Hartford (8-6), which last defeated Boston University five years ago.
Hartford returned from an 18-point deficit in the second half, taking a 61-60 lead on a Zeglinski 3-pointer with 16.1 seconds left for the apparent game-winner.
But the game was sent into overtime when Brian Macon drew a blocking foul and made one of two free throws for the Terriers with 1.1 seconds left.
Zeglinski hit a three-pointer with 1:06 left in the first overtime to give Hartford a 71-68 lead. The Terriers tied it again when Tyler Morris hit a three-pointer with 35 seconds left, sending the game into its second overtime.
Hartford got a quick lead as Rich Baker hit a three-pointer to open the second overtime, staying ahead to break the five-year losing streak against Boston.
