CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) -- Nick Aldridge scored 15 points and Western Carolina rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit to defeat UNC Greensboro 57-54 on Saturday.
Antonio Russell added 14 points for the Catamounts (6-9, 3-1), who shot 60 percent from the line and snapped a five-game losing streak.
Junior Kyle Hines set the UNC Greensboro career record for double-doubles with 28 by scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for the Spartans (6-8, 3-2), who also shot 60 percent from the line.
Kendall Toney led the Spartans with 15 points.
UNC Greensboro led 24-20 at the half.
The Spartans went on a 10-0 run early in the second half with Hines scoring five of those points to push their lead to 34-22.
Western Carolina rallied and Jake Robinson hit a 3-pointer with 6:42 left to bring the Catamounts within two at 44-42.
The lead switched several times in the final minutes.
Kyle Greathouse hit two free throws with 6.5 seconds left to give Western Carolina a 57-54 lead.
Ricky Hickman missed a three-pointer as time ran out and the Spartans lost their second straight.
