BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Devon Austin scored 11 of his 16 points in the first half and Manhattan went on to a 60-51 victory over Canisius on Monday night.
Antoine Pearson added 10 points for the Jaspers (6-8, 3-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who opened the game with a 7-2 run.
Shaun James led Canisius (6-9, 1-4) with 12 points.
Manhattan closed the first half with a 19-10 run for a 35-25 lead. Canisius, which committed 13 turnovers in the first half, was held without a field goal for the half's final 6:03.
Manhattan scored only six points in the first 10 minutes of the second half but still held a 41-33 lead. During that time, Manhattan was 2-of-8 from the field with six turnovers, but Canisius was only 2-of-12 and committed seven of its 24 turnovers.
Darnell Wilson added 10 points for Canisius.
