LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Craig Bradshaw had 16 points to lead Winthrop to a 68-40 win over Liberty on Saturday night
The Eagles (13-4, 3-0 Big South) went on a 9-2 run early in the first and used a 15-5 run to go into the second half up 39-15.
The Flames (7-10, 1-2) trailed the whole game, tying the game once in the opening minutes of the first period.
Liberty started the second with a 7-3 run to cut Winthrop's lead to 42-22 with 17 minutes to play, but the Eagles answered back with a 9-3 run to make it 58-27 with 8:53 left.
Winthrop, which had its largest lead of 33 with 5:20 to play, had 51 percent shooting for the game and kept the Flames to 28.6 percent from the field. The Eagles also outrebounded Liberty 48-30.
Larry Blair led Liberty with 13 points.
