Mercer 94, Campbell 93

MACON, Ga. (AP) -- Shaddean Aaron made a layup with 1 second left in the game to lift Mercer to a 94-93 win over over Campbell on Saturday night.

The Bears (7-9, 3-3 Atlantic Sun Conference) overcame a 21-point deficit after helftime, using a 15-5 run late in the second half.

Hrvoje Pervan, who scored 26 points for Mercer, tied the game at 92-92 on a 3-pointer. Then Campbell (7-8, 2-3) took a 1-point lead with 13 seconds left when Ledell Eackles connected on a free throw.

But Aaron, who scored 21 points, had 10 rebounds and four steals, then made the game-winning layup. James Florence added 26 points and seven assist for Mercer.

Kyle Vejraska led Campbell with 25 points, connecting on 5-of-7 shots from beyond the arc. Jake Wohlfeil and Jonathan Rodriguez each added 13.
