LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) -- Reggie Williams had 37 points and 10 rebounds to lead Virginia Military Institute to a 116-83 win over Charleston Southern on Saturday.
The Keydets (7-11, 1-2 Big South) led 56-46 at the half after going on a 13-4 run late in the first quarter. The Buccaneers (5-12, 0-3) led by as much as four early in the first, but were unable to retain their lead and trailed by as many as 35 in the second half.
Fred Robinson added 31 points for VMI, which scored 37 points off turnovers.
Chavis Holmes had 24 points for the Keydets and
Travis Holmes added 13.
Dwayne Jackson led Charleston Southern with 43 points and 12 rebounds, and
Donnell Covington added 16 points.
