FAIRBORN, Ohio (AP) -- Todd Brown scored 21 points and his tip-in capped Wright State's 31-8 run to open the game as the Raiders held on for a 78-67 victory over Wisconsin-Green Bay on Saturday.
Three-pointers by Drew Burleson, Vaughn Duggins and Reinaldo Smith gave Wright State (11-7, 4-1 Horizon League) a 27-5 lead. However, Wisconsin-Green Bay (10-8, 2-3) went on a 10-3 run that included 3-pointers by Mike Schachtner and Troy Cotton and closed the first half trailing 34-18.
Three-pointers by Schachter and Terry Evans pulled the Phoenix to 34-24 with 18:20 remaining, but the Raiders, behind 3-pointers from Duggins and DaShaun Wood, pulled away to 49-30 with 12 minutes left.
The teams combined to hit 17 3-pointers overall. Wood had 14 points and Burleson and Duggins added 11 apiece for Wright State. Ryan Evanochko led the Phoenix with 27 points, while Evans and Schachtner added 10 each.
