Binghamton 57, Hartford 55

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Mike Gordon drove the lane and scored the game-winning basket with one-tenth of a second left to lift Binghamton to a 57-55 victory over Hartford on Monday.

Hartford's Brian Glowiak hit a 3-pointer from the top of the arc to tie the score at 55 with 9.6 seconds left before Gordon's game-winning shot, which was off the glass and rolled around the rim before falling in.

Richard Forbes led Binghamton (9-9) with 12 points, while Steve Proctor finished with 11 and Gordon, 10.

Jaret Von Rosenberg scored 16 points and Joe Zeglinski also scored 16 points, after scoring only three in the first half, for Hartford (9-8).

It was a low-scoring affair in the first half. Dwayne Jackson gave Binghamton its biggest lead of the half with a 3-pointer that gave the Bearcats a 24-18 lead with 8:24 left.

Neither team led by more than three points after that and neither scored a field goal in the last 5:43 of the half.

Gordon gave Binghamton a 29-27 halftime lead after making one of two free throws with 4:44 left.
